Farm Tour Information, Educational Classes, and Rates

We offer 3 different tour packages ...

Package #1. A 2½ hour educational tour of our circle farm. The woodlands are discussed with a short hike down into the hollow. Our working farm dog, "Archangel", demonstrates his loyalty and ability to do his part in keeping nature and farm in balance. Learn how the farm uses nature to provide for a healthy woodlot. The sawmill is discussed with topics of invasive plants, proper log care, and different wood types. A stop at the pond shows the animals of that eco-area hard at work. Our farm pond family of ducks and geese keep a healthy, upbeat flow of busyness. Their part of the circle, along with the "nature" of the pond itself, is studied. On to the garden for the caretaker's vegatable and fruit supply. Companion planting, combined with composting manures and animal usage for pesticide, are all discussed. The "whys" and "hows" of what we do here on the circle farm are open for discussion.
Grass ... it's what we are all about! It is most important to the operation of the circle farm and for keeping it healthy. Learn how we, the caretakers, see it and how our animal partners view it. Our animal partners are visited with facts about their general care. Meet them and get to know their unique personalities. From the dairy to the beef, to fiber and protecting, all our animal friends here on the circle farm are as hard at work as the other parts of the circle. Come and meet the crew and enjoy their many talents. Demonstrations concerning fiber, spinning, and dairying are all discussed. . Our open, farm tent is available for your group to use when they bring and enjoy their own picnic lunch with seating for up to 75 people. Come join our circle and leave seeing yourself as part of a larger one!
Prices: $4 per person. Under the age of 1, free. (15 guests minimum. 75 guests maximum)

* Private tours available for a minimum charge of $50 for 2½ hours. Private tours are for groups of 12 guests or less.
